My youngest sister is getting married in August. I get to proudly be her Matron of Honor. So exciting!!!

So when deciding on what type of shower theme I should throw, it was obvious…a fairy tale theme. Her wedding is going to be more vintage with yellow, blue, and grey colors. I decided to not match her wedding.
The story behind the fairy tale theme comes from the fact that she has had people go in and out of her life. Never sticking it out. She has been a single mother to 4 children. We have prayed for a man to come into her life to give her love, support, and a promise to be there FOREVER. She met Dan through my parents. Together they will have 9 children, and they will live happily ever after.
Each table I chose a specific fairy tale theme from some of the Disney Princesses. At first April was nervous that I was going to make it look like Disney threw up on the tables. I promised to make it classic (my favorite), simple, and lots of pink and gold.
My mother had help making a table full of desserts for this shower. Desserts only. Simple and yummy! (Side note…this was not 21 Day Fix approved)!
We played 3 games…
Match The Love Song To The Disney Movie. The easiest game for all guests.
How Well Do You Know The Bride-Guests had to answer what April answered.
He Said/She Said-Did Dan say it, or April. Guests had to decide.
We had the guests write on popsicle sticks Date Night Ideas that Dan and April could pull out of a jar monthly. (sign made courtesy of my hubby)
April wanted a sign that said how many days left she had before she got hitched. (sign courtesy of my hubby, again).
Of course there was gift opening.
At the end everyone told who they were and how they knew April and gave her 1 piece of advice for her marriage. By the end EVERYONE was in tears.
Thank you to everyone that came out to celebrate and those that helped too! Especially all the Bridesmaids.
Very special shower. I was happy to make this happen for April, but even more happy that she has found her “Prince Charming” and she will live HAPPILY EVER AFTER!!!
Love you April! Congrats!
